Gifted Keepsakes
I’ve always been a very observant person. It’s part of what makes me a good pet sitter and also the kind of artist who notices the small and beautiful things hidden in everyday life. Living here in North Kingstown means I’m surrounded by beaches and wooded trails, and I often find myself picking up a feather, a stone, or a shell while I’m out between visits. I keep them close until an idea begins to form.
But my work isn’t limited to what I find outside. Sometimes inspiration comes through paint or pixels, through resin or wood, through whatever material happens to feel right in the moment. I like the freedom of creating without rules — letting each piece take its own shape and story.
Kerry’s Keepsakes grew out of that mix of noticing, gathering, and making. What you’ll see here are small pieces of memory made into something you can hold or share. Each keepsake is paired with a short story, not to explain it, but to reflect on it and honor what it has come to mean.
